Here is a short, annotated list of my recent, published, “creative” writing (don’t get me started on what “non-creative” writing might look like). For a full list of all of my previous publications, please view my CV, here. For more information about the projects I’m currently working on, but that haven’t yet been published, please contact me directly.
The Big Adventures of Little Kenny. Children’s Book, 2014.
- Seeking representation/publication
“Using Simultaneous Polls to Bridge Vast Distances.” Article for Poll Everywhere, 2014.
- Beginning in 2014 I began an open-ended freelance position creating content and writing copy for the polling start-up Poll Everywhere. The posts have been a fun way to write about qualitative research, case studies, and educational technology.
“In Search of Lost Time: Remembered.” Personal essay for Facebook Stories series, 2012.
- This invited essay was my swan song with Facebook. What you see here is a more or less unedited version that lacks the multimedia component we had talked about before publication. I’m still happy with the prose here, but due in part to the bad experience I had with Facebook employees I quit the social network later that year.
“The Stories,” Short Fiction, 2006.
- I’m always writing short fiction and poetry. Always. But in 2006 I posted a few to Amazon just to see what the process of self-publishing was like. Since then my stories have been downloaded (and presumably read) over 10,000 times and across a dozen countries. I’ve also made about $14.
